Hey everyone, still processing those TikTok changes with you all! It really hits different when you're pouring your heart into content, hoping to make a difference, or even just pay a bill, and the goalposts keep moving. Like it says in the video, it feels like there's less and less room for everybody, and the "Creator Rewards Program" and "TikTok Shop Affiliate" payouts are getting tougher to crack. Let's be real about this 'qualified views' situation. The video touches on how frustrating it is when you have 3,000 views but only 700 from the For You Page count. It often feels like TikTok is looking for viewers who stick around for your entire one minute video, engage with it, and possibly even visit your profile or link. So, while it's tough, one strategy I've tried is really honing in on my hooks. That first 3-5 seconds is crucial to grab attention, and then consistently delivering value throughout the rest of the video to keep them watching past the 60-second mark. It’s like a never-ending quest to beat the algorithm at its own game! And the 'shadow banned' feeling? Ugh, we've all been there. When your views suddenly tank, or your content just isn't reaching your usual audience, it's demoralizing. What I’ve learned (and this is just from my experience, not TikTok gospel!) is to keep posting consistently, but also try to switch up content types slightly, engage heavily with comments on older videos, and maybe even take a tiny break from posting for a day or two and then come back strong. Sometimes, it feels like a reset. Don't forget to check your analytics – sometimes it's not a 'ban,' but just a dip in engagement for specific content. For those of us, especially "stay at home mamas" or anyone relying on this as more than just a hobby, reaching that "10k followers" mark to even get into the Rewards Program can feel monumental. Building a genuine community is key. Respond to every comment, go live to connect with your audience, and collaborate with other creators. It's about showing up consistently every day and building authentic relationships, not just chasing trends. And if TikTok is making it harder to earn, it might be time to diversify! I’ve been looking into other platforms like YouTube Shorts or even exploring direct sales of digital products or services related to my niche. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, especially when that basket keeps changing its shape! It truly feels like a real job, demanding so much effort, from the editing to the voice over, and just putting yourself out there. Remember to take care of your mental health amidst all this. It's okay to step back, re-evaluate, and come back refreshed. We're in this creator journey together!
