Cozy Game I’m loving right now!
Love this game and I’m only 108 mins in🥹 If you like animal crossing but specifically the decorating aspects you would love this game! The characters are also super cute!! Can’t wait to have a whole village of them✨ I love that it isn’t objective based and it’s literally just for vibez 🧚♀️🍄🌿Also this game is normally $5 but it’s on sale right now for $4 so give it a try and let me know what you think!
Okay, so I had to share more about Gourdlets, especially since so many of you are curious about the actual gameplay! When I first said it was 'just for vibez,' I meant it in the best possible way. This isn't a game where you're constantly chasing quests or battling enemies; it's pure, unadulterated creative expression, and that's precisely why I'm hooked. The core gameplay loop revolves around building and decorating your very own Gourdlet village. You start with a small area, but you quickly gain the ability to expand and add new structures. What really blew me away is the sheer freedom in decoration. It's not just placing pre-set items; you can rotate, scale, and even slightly adjust the position of most objects, giving you incredible control over the aesthetic. I’ve spent countless hours meticulously designing my 'restaurant interior,' making sure every table and chair captures that perfect cozy diner feel. The OCR even picked up on how detailed these spaces can get, showing off those vibrant interiors! Compared to Animal Crossing, which I love, Gourdlets feels even more focused on the sandbox aspect. There's no pressure to pay off a loan or meet specific villager demands. You gather resources by exploring your expanding 'coastal village' – think chopping wood, fishing, or finding hidden gems – and then use those resources to craft new furniture, buildings, and decorative elements. It’s incredibly satisfying to see your ideas come to life, from a bustling marketplace to a serene garden path. The Gourdlets themselves are adorable and add so much life to the world. They wander around, interact with the environments you create, and just generally exist in the most charming way. You’ll see them eating in your restaurant, fishing by the docks you built, or simply relaxing in a park you designed. It truly feels like you're building a home for them, and their presence makes the whole experience so much more rewarding. Getting started is super easy; you just launch it from your Steam library, and you're dropped right into your developing world. There’s a gentle tutorial that guides you through the basics of building and gathering, but after that, you're free to pursue whatever creative vision you have. My initial '108 minutes' quickly turned into many, many more because every time I play, I discover new ways to customize and expand. Whether you want to create a sprawling fantasy town or a compact, hyper-detailed hobbit-hole style village, Gourdlets gives you the tools to do it. It's the perfect game for unwinding after a long day, letting your creativity flow, and simply enjoying the process of building something beautiful.
