Moving some stuff over from TikTok

... Read moreIt's been quite the journey, and I’m so excited to finally be settling in here on Lemon8! For those of you who've followed my content on other platforms, you know I love sharing my personal style, and I'm thrilled to dive deeper into it with you all here. This space feels perfect for really getting into the details of what makes my look, well, my look! I’m hoping to connect with you all in a more intimate way, sharing not just visuals but also the 'how-to's' and 'why's' behind my choices. Let's start with my signature brunette hair. It’s not just a color; it’s part of my identity! I often get asked about how I keep it looking glossy and vibrant, especially since it's naturally on the darker side. My secret? A good sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and a weekly deep conditioning mask – I swear by one infused with argan oil for extra shine. I also make sure to rinse with cool water to seal the cuticles. For styling, I’m a big fan of heat protectant sprays, even when I'm just quickly curling my ends. For an everyday look, I usually go for soft, lived-in waves; a quick curl with a large barrel iron, held for a few seconds, then brushed out for that effortless, voluminous vibe. Sometimes, a touch of dry texturizing spray adds that perfect finish. What are your go-to hair care tips for keeping your color fresh and your strands healthy? Then there are my tattoos! Each one tells a story, and they're such a big part of my aesthetic as a tatted girl. I believe tattoos are an incredible form of self-expression, a personal canvas that evolves with you. If you're thinking about getting your first tattoo, my biggest advice is to research your artist thoroughly – look at their portfolio, check reviews, and don't be afraid to ask questions about their process and hygiene. Placement is also key; think about how it will age and integrate with your body. And aftercare? Crucial! Always keep it clean and moisturized with an unscented lotion. I’d absolutely love to share the meanings and experiences behind some of my pieces in future posts if you're interested in a tattoo journey deep dive! And of course, my blue eyes! They’re often highlighted in my content, and I love playing with makeup to make them pop even more. For blue eyes, I've found that warm tones really make them sparkle. Think coppers, rich golds, and earthy browns – these shades create a beautiful contrast. A touch of a shimmery champagne or light gold shadow on the inner corner is a game-changer for brightening them up. I also find a good black or dark brown winged liner defines them beautifully without overpowering the natural color. Sometimes, a subtle pop of deep plum liner along the lash line can also be surprisingly effective. Don't forget a volumizing mascara to complete the look! Finally, let’s talk about the lip combo that everyone asks about! It’s my absolute favorite and one I wear almost daily because it’s so versatile. It usually involves starting with a nude-pink lip liner – I often slightly over-line my natural lip line to create a fuller, more defined shape. Then, I fill in my lips with a creamy matte lipstick in a complementary peachy-nude or rose shade. To finish, a dab of high-shine gloss, applied just to the center of my lips, gives that perfect plump and juicy pout without feeling sticky. This combination creates a natural yet polished look that works for any occasion. I’ll definitely be doing a dedicated post with specific product names and a step-by-step tutorial soon, so stay tuned for that! I’m really looking forward to connecting with you all here on Lemon8 and sharing more of my life, style, and beauty tips. This transition has been exciting, and I can't wait to build a wonderful community with you. Let me know in the comments what you’d like me to cover next, or what your own favorite styling secrets are. I love hearing from you!
