Father’s Day weekend annual BBQ 😍🤘🏼
I have had a WEEK lol.
Long story short: I don’t know who my bio father is. I’ve had a dad my entire life who I absolutely adore, but finding out at 13 it just has been a thing that doesn’t get talked about 🥲 fast forward 12 years later I get a message from a lovely lady on Facebook showing that we share a lot of DNA on my PATERNAL SIDE!! Like what!???
So anyway, her brother agreed to do a dna test bc the pics Tabitha shared with me of her brother & her mother (I come from her maternal side & she just found out her brother is her half brother… her only sibling.) so I met up with her, got to talk & swabbed my cheeks & we’re waiting on results 😅😅
If anyone is interested at all or cares at all about this weird story I could totally write a book about or get famous off TikTok 🤣🤣🤣 but who knows I might’ve found who my bio father is 👀
So thankfully I kicked off the weekend with a nice relaxing BBQ ♥️
Father's Day is a special occasion for many, often celebrated with family gatherings and delicious BBQs. For those who cherish their fathers, these moments can be filled with nostalgia and love. This year, my Father's Day BBQ took an unexpected turn as I navigated through the complexities of family and identity. Discovering unknown relatives can be a thrilling yet emotional ride. DNA tests have become increasingly popular, revealing hidden family connections that change our understanding of our heritage. As more people turn to genealogy and DNA testing, these stories of discovery resonate widely. This summer, why not engage in some family history exploration while enjoying your favorite grilled foods? The bonding over a BBQ can lead to deeper conversations about family trees, ancestry, and our personal narratives. Sharing your family's unique stories during such gatherings not only brings everyone closer but can also inspire others to delve into their histories. So, as summer unfolds, embrace those family BBQs, and who knows what revelations might emerge amidst the laughter and grilled delicacies?
