Things I’ve learned about

2025/11/8 Edited to

... Read moreHaving run cross country and track for five years, I've come to realize that success in these sports is not just about speed or endurance, but also about the camaraderie and mindset you carry throughout your journey. One of the most important lessons is that your team is a vital part of the experience. Bonding with teammates not only makes training sessions more enjoyable but also provides emotional support during the toughest challenges. Your team often means more than just running alongside you—they become your motivation and source of encouragement. Races, whether good or bad, shouldn't define your entire season. It's common to feel disappointed after a tough race, but the key is to use that feeling to fuel your preparation for the next one. Every race is a learning opportunity, allowing you to identify areas to improve while appreciating your progress. Most importantly, don't let the pressures and expectations overshadow the fun. Running is a sport that brings joy and personal growth. Enjoying yourself during races and training keeps your passion alive and helps the time fly by quickly. Remember, the journey is just as important as the finish line. In summary, embracing teamwork, focusing on continual improvement, and keeping a positive, enjoyable mindset are essential components that make cross country and track running rewarding experiences.
