why is racism so normalized?

The amount of racist comments I get online is insane. Could be trolls, but either way what is wrong with our world?!

If this happens to you too, I’m with you. Don’t forget that black is absolutely beautiful 🤎🤎

... Read moreEncountering racist comments online, whether from trolls or otherwise, can be deeply hurtful and exhausting. From personal experience, it often feels like racism is so normalized because it’s ingrained in social structures and perpetuated through stereotypes and misinformation. Many people unconsciously absorb these biases from media, history, and social environments, which leads to casual racism becoming a daily reality for many. The phrase "Black is beautiful" isn’t just a slogan; it’s an affirmation that counters the negative narratives and racist remarks targeted at Black individuals. Embracing this mindset is empowering and helps build resilience against hurtful comments. When you face racism online, it’s important to remember that often these hateful remarks come from ignorance or fear rather than truth. Moreover, racist experiences vary widely, but many share common pain points such as feeling rejected or dehumanized simply because of their race, as highlighted by the harsh comments identified in the images. These experiences can impact mental health and sense of self-worth. Seeking support among the Black community or allies provides a space for shared strength and collective action. In my own journey, discussing these issues openly and raising awareness about racism’s normalization can foster empathy and change. It helps to educate others, challenge stereotypes, and promote inclusivity. Social media can be a double-edged sword but also a powerful platform to amplify voices of resistance and celebrate Black identity. If you find yourself facing similar racism, remember you are not alone. Engage in conversations, support initiatives promoting racial equality, and continue affirming the beauty and worth of Black lives. Together, we can challenge normalized racism and work towards a more just and respectful world.

Legit blows my mind what people say when they are hiding behind a screen. It’s crazy a 1st grader at my local elementary school was saying it’s okay they can say the n word because they say it at home….they are white… I thought that our generation would be the one to end this BS but instead it’s just continuing.

I encourage every black girl to read ‘the conspiracy to destroy black women’ by Michael Porter. There’s been widespread propaganda targeting us, and to place us into a role. Notice how every group of people has trashy and classy folk? Rich and poor? But we are demonized to the upmost degree? This type of dichotomy only suggests that subconsciously they look for approval from black people. It’s honestly a sickness to continually think like this about a group of people, these are the attributes and attitudes of Satan’s children

spiritual practices christians should avoid!
Christians, we need to talk about spiritual counterfeits. not every “spiritual” thing is from God. in fact, many popular practices today are ancient traps repackaged in cute, aesthetic ways. you’ll see them on tiktok, pinterest, in boutiques, or even at the gym, but behind the “self care” and “e

A graphic titled "CUSSING IS A SIN" features a red stop sign over an angry emoji with symbols for cuss words. It includes the text "STOP CUSSING" and lists Bible verses from Matthew, Ephesians, and James regarding speech and its impact.
Is Cussing a Sin?
Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down, heal or harm, bless or curse. In a world where cussing and crude language are often normalized, laughed at, or even celebrated, it’s important for believers to pause and ask an honest question: Does God care about the words we speak? The Bible

Things normalized in motherhood that aren’t normal
There’s a-lot more we go through that stays unsaid. We need to share more of those realistic moments and know we are all struggling in the same way, it’s sad that society has made these common and normalized in motherhood. It’s just another reason to believe that we are amazing.🩷

The image defines "Negrito/negrita" as a Spanish diminutive term meaning "little Black person/one," used as an endearment or to describe dark features, with its usage being debated. Below, a video thumbnail shows a man speaking, with text mentioning "Spanish colonizers called them 'negritos'."
A Wikipedia article about Negros, the fourth largest island in the Philippines, is displayed. It includes its English and Tagalog pronunciations, land area, and highlights its marine biodiversity. A satellite map of the island is partially visible at the bottom.
The image explains that "Negro Island(s)" refers to historical locations undergoing name changes due to slavery, while "Negros" in Spanish refers to the Afro-Hispanic heritage of dark-skinned people. It also mentions Negro Island, Maine.
