Shopping for a New Rug 🏠🫶🏼❄️

With buying a new table, comes needing a new accent rug underneath. My old rug was plain grey and I am just so over all things grey. You know, millennial grey as they call it. I bought it shortly after I moved out in 2019 and it’s lasted me 4+ years so I think it’s more than fine to finally say goodbye and grab a new one!

I looked online and I saw that AtHome had a ton of affordable and trendy rugs after googling neutral-colored rugs. I ran out on my lunch break to check them out because I knew I wanted a pattern but still nothing too bold. If you haven’t noticed this about me yet, I absolutely hate colors unless it’s seasonal.

I was stuck between a couple of different rugs but settled on a 5x7-sized rug for only $49.99! It’s cream with a light faded Aztec pattern, on the thinner size which is what I wanted because they’re easier to keep clean. I thought it would complement the rustic white chairs of my new kitchen table.

I’m so excited about my new kitchen table and can’t wait to see how good this rug looks with it!

... Read moreWhen selecting an accent rug, consider its size, color, and pattern as they can significantly affect your room's ambiance. For a neutral and cozy vibe, rugs like the cream Aztec patterned rug mentioned can effortlessly enhance rustic or modern interiors alike. To maintain its pristine appearance, ensure you pick a rug that is easy to clean, particularly if you have pets or young children in the house. Accentuating the rug with matching decor elements, such as throws or cushions, can tie the room together beautifully. Remember, a good rule of thumb is to keep your rug to a size that allows at least the front legs of your furniture to sit on it, creating a unified effect. Additionally, consider seasonal changes in décor; perhaps swap out brighter colors or patterns to reflect the time of year! For those who love a minimalist yet inviting atmosphere, opting for soft textures and subtle designs can create an inviting yet stylish space. Finally, if budget is a concern, shopping at home decor retailers can yield great results, showcasing many affordable choices without sacrificing style. Happy decorating!
