Small things around my home that bring me joy🫶✨🌸
There are a lot of things in my apartment, but these are the small pieces that actually make it feel like home to me.
The first is my little heart table that holds my crystal altar. I’ve been collecting crystals since I was really young, so this space is made up of pieces from so many different stages of my life. There are crystals I’ve had for years, thrifted celestial finds, candles, books, and a salt rock lamp that makes everything glow softly at night. It feels layered and personal instead of curated all at once.
Right above it is one of my favorite thrift finds. It’s a ceramic sun that’s technically a bird feeder. The sun’s hands are meant to hold bird seed, but I use it to hold little crystals instead. It ties the whole area together in a way that feels playful and special.
Another small area that brings me a lot of joy is my entry shelf. I keep my purse and keys there, but what really makes it feel welcoming are the little details. Salt and pepper shakers I’ve collected over the years from Cracker Barrel, and a thrifted Avon candle warmer shaped like a strawberry. It’s such a tiny moment, but it’s one of the first things I see when I walk into my apartment.
I also finally found a butter dish I love. It’s a glass pink heart dish from TJ Maxx that was technically meant for Valentine’s Day, but I use heart pieces year round. I’ve been looking for a butter dish for a long time, so this one felt like a small but very exciting win.
And my most recent addition is a cast iron Dutch oven from HomeGoods. It’s a red heart, and the enamel has a subtle glittery finish. It sits on my stove and instantly makes the kitchen feel warmer and more lived in. I’m excited to start using it for soups and slow meals, but even just having it out makes me happy.
