Our wedding day on 11/11/18 was not only a celebration of love but also a significant milestone blending Latin and Persian traditions. This unique cultural fusion reflected the depth of our bond and the importance of honoring our roots while embracing our future together. Starting our family was an exciting yet challenging journey. We chose to use assisted reproductive technologies, specifically IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) and RIVF (Reciprocal In Vitro Fertilization), which are transformative options for same-sex couples. These methods allowed us both to have biological connections with our children, enriching our experience as mothers. Navigating fertility treatments requires patience and resilience, and sharing our story hopes to empower other LGBTQ+ couples considering similar paths. From managing appointments to celebrating pregnancy milestones, each step strengthened our relationship and deepened our commitment. Being wives and mamas has transformed our lives beyond words. Our children, conceived through medical technology and born from love, are our greatest blessings. We also encourage others in the community to seek support networks and resources tailored to LGBTQ+ parents to better prepare for this beautiful journey. Through social media and storytelling, we aim to inspire those who dream of forming families in diverse and inclusive ways. Parenthood can look different for everyone, and embracing those differences only adds to the richness of life and love.
