Final Books on my 2025 TBR!📚🎄🥳
My 2025 reading goal was 35 books and I am currently at 46!!!!! I've decided to push myself and try and get to 50 by the end of the month/year!!
I read Christmas in Chestnut Springs today, I'm currently listening to The Inheritance Game, and I do plan to read the second Harry Potter book. ⚡️
The Christmas books are tentative. Last year I didn't read any holiday books and so this year I'm trying to pick some up. I don't have any books that are currently jumping out to me, which is why I picked Christmas books to read. I will post if anything changes with those two!
What is your reading goal for this year?
How close are you to hitting it?
Have you exceeded it?
What are your plans or goals for reading in 2026?
As a fellow book lover, I find it inspiring to push reading goals and explore seasonal and genre-diverse picks like you have. Reading more than your goal of 35 books already shows great commitment, and aiming for 50 is fantastic motivation to close out the year with a rewarding sense of accomplishment. Christmas-themed books like "Christmas in Chestnut Springs" captivate many readers during the holidays because they offer a blend of warmth, family connections, and lighthearted plotlines, perfect for cozy winter reading sessions. Elsie Silver's storytelling, especially with familiar characters and festive pranks, can bring a delightful nostalgic charm even if some characters aren’t favorites. This can often make holiday books comforting and enjoyable even if they aren’t the author’s most beloved works. On the other hand, "The Inheritance Game" by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is a thrilling choice with its intricate puzzles and family drama, keeping listeners on the edge of their seats while enjoying complex characters and suspenseful twists. Combining such a mystery with lighter holiday stories is a lovely balance for varied moods during reading time. Adding "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" to your list also connects a classic fantasy element to your 2025 TBR. Revisiting Hogwarts adventures, especially the darker and more mysterious second book in the series, can rekindle the magic and excitement of fantasy literature, especially as the story deepens around Harry and new threats. For readers planning 2026, setting varied goals like finishing ongoing series, diversifying genres, or focusing on seasonal themes can keep reading plans fresh and inviting. Sharing progress on platforms using hashtags like #2025bookgoals and #endoftheyeartbr encourages community support and inspiration while discovering new book recommendations. Most importantly, reading should remain fun and fulfilling. Whether your goal is a number, exploring particular genres, or simply enjoying a story, mixing festive, mystery, and fantasy books as you have chosen provides a rich reading experience to celebrate your love for books.
