Additionally, sealing grout lines after installation helps protect against moisture penetration and mold growth. Throughout the process, use waterproofing membranes or liquid waterproofing products on the backer board to add an extra layer of moisture protection. Taking these careful preparation and installation steps has helped me achieve long-lasting and visually appealing shower enclosures. Attention to detail upfront saves time and money by preventing future water damage and tile issues.
