🍋 What Do Digestive Enzymes Actually Do?

Digestive enzymes are proteins your body produces to help break down the food you eat so your body can absorb nutrients properly.

There are several types of enzymes that each do a specific job:

• Protease – helps break down protein

• Amylase – helps break down carbohydrates

• Lipase – helps break down fats

• Cellulase – helps break down plant fibers

As we age, experience stress, or eat more processed foods, our bodies may produce fewer digestive enzymes, which can lead to symptoms like:

✨ Bloating

✨ Feeling overly full after meals

✨ Gas or digestive discomfort

✨ Slower digestion

Supporting your body with digestive enzymes can help your system break down food more efficiently, which may support better nutrient absorption and overall gut comfort.

Lately I’ve been using Good Zymes as part of my daily wellness routine to support digestion and gut health and adding a probiotic (Florify) as well. I feel better than I have in a long time!🌿🤍
