This was a good Thriller. This dark tale had so many twists and turns throughout the entire book. The way the story was narrated was like visually watching a psycho-thriller movie. Tahlia has always been good at masking the darkest part of her mind until the betrayal snapped something in her. I am Team Tahlia. How her mother, sister, and no-good Tyriq betrayed her in the worst way. I truly felt bad for Tahlia; she was awkward, successful, and constantly made fun of by her family, but that didn’t stop them from having their hands out. This reminded me of the movie "The Thin Line Between Love and Hate."

All Tahlia wanted was her family, friends, and finance to celebrate her birthday with her, but nope, they wanna be on some fck around find out shit. Tahlia's mother is a pathetic woman who didn't like her daughter from day one, and her father was a weak man who allowed his wife to mistreat his child. Tahlia's sister Danielle is ghetto, spoiled by the mother, and jealous of Tahlia. She thought she deserved to have anything Tahlia had. I was not surprised by the twist at the end. I know that person has his hand in some shit, too. Crazy just like Tahlia. However, I feel that the ending could have provided me with more. I need part two. Mesha ma’am, you did that. I hope there's more to come. Good book to read for Spooky Season, y'all, you won't regret.
