Marked and Claimed
I enjoyed this little short novel. The author did extremely well for it being her first paranormal book! It was straight to the point as well. Darius, Zarek, and their little Luna!! Nyssa. Nyssa got not one, but two men who loved and protected her, and I loved that for her! Darius is the Alpha, and Zarek is his beta and bestfriend. The story begins when the Rogue king is slain and killed by the Silvermoon pack. Nyssa’s father is a part of the Rogue. He pleaded with the Silvermoon pack to save his imprisoned daughter. He inadvertently helped Nyssa come face-to-face with her fated mates, Darius and Zarek. I was shocked at Darius and Zerek being a thing that took me by surprise, but I like that Nyssa accepted Darius and Zarek, and they didn’t judge them, and I like that they accepted Nyssa's differences. It had some good spicy time without it being overbearing, it went down hot and steamy lol it should be a part two I need it to be longer I feel like the book was not finished.
Reading 'Marked and Claimed' reminded me of why I love paranormal romance so much—the mix of suspense, the supernatural, and deeply emotional connections. The dynamic between Darius, the Alpha, and Zarek, his beta and best friend, creates such an interesting triangular relationship with Nyssa. I particularly enjoyed how the story embraced the unusual bond between the three characters, highlighting themes of acceptance and uniqueness. The tension building up to their union felt organic, and the spicy scenes were well balanced, making the romance feel passionate yet genuine. From personal experience, stories where fated mates are introduced through high-stakes conflict, like the slaying of the Rogue king, bring a great sense of urgency and purpose to the romance that keeps readers hooked. One thing that stood out was the portrayal of Nyssa’s father pleading with the Silvermoon pack to save his daughter—this subplot added emotional depth and helped explain Nyssa’s predicament. It’s also refreshing to see characters who don’t judge each other but instead embrace their differences, something that felt really empowering. If you enjoy paranormal stories involving wolf packs, destined connections, and multi-partner romances, this book delivers in a short, packed format. Its brevity left me wanting more, so I hope a sequel will expand on these intriguing characters and their world. Overall, 'Marked and Claimed' is a great reminder that even first paranormal novels can be captivating and worth the read.
