Wicked (BLP MC Series Book 1)
Yates, “Wicked” Harris, and Jelai Williams were teenagers who were attracted to each other, but Jelai's father didn't like Yates. He told him to stay away from his daughter, and he told Jelai that Yates and the motorcycle Club are criminals. He told her so many bad things that she started to believe him. Jelai decides to sneak behind her parents' backs and date an older guy, Mario. Thinking she was grown, not knowing this man was going to pimip her out. Yales intervened and killed Mario. Though the judge deemed the homicide justifiable because he was defending Jelai, he said he used extreme force since he killed him with his hands. He was sentenced to fifteen years, but he only served ten.
This book was good. Wicked was not playing about his gal Jelai. Wicked said he would go back behind his gal, period 🤏🏿 Wicked was a gentleman, patient, protector, and nasty 😜 lol Jelai's father had a change of heart after Wicked protected his daughter; he was really thankful for what Wicked did. Jelai's godfather, Chris, I just knew he was a crook. He wanted Jelai to stay away from Wicked. So bad turns out cause he didn’t want her to find out what really happened. What shocked me was Hamilton. I didn't care for him at first, but I like how he came to Wicked, and his father told them the real reason why he was acting and moving the way he was: because that damn Chris was blackmailing them. Chris was an evil, nasty, jealous, and crazy person who betrayed his best friend, smh. Like when Jelai's mother apologized to Wicked for judging him because she didn't know anything about him, but going off what her husband told her at the time, not knowing Wicked and him didn't have any issues anymore after what he did for Jelai. Wicked had some good friends, Sonny and Cole, who held him down. It's hard to find friends like this these days. Jelai and Wicked, I love them togather Jelai didn’t play; she had to put a couple of Women in their place about her men. I like that the woman was trying to get at Wicked, but he turned all that shit down. He knew what he wanted, and he wasn't going to let anybody stop him from getting his gal, Jelai. #books #bookrecommendations #BookReview #blackauthors #book
