Prime: The Banks Empire (1-3 Prime story) Six-book series
HOLD ON!! This ride is going to get bumpy
Prime Banks: quiet, Lethal, calculated. Moving around in shadows, stacking money, and keeping his demons tucked away where nobody could see them. He wasn’t looking for distractions. He wasn’t looking for love.
He was focused until his mentor Rashid, who helped raise him, shaped him into the person he is. Ask him for a favor. And when I say this, one decision turns his life upside down. Baby, buckle up!! Up for this ride.
Zahara Ali: Zahara's only goal is survival. Keep her head down. Protect her son, Yusef. Stay invisible. She needs to keep her secrets buried. Prime? He's the one man capable of digging them up. The deeper they fall, the more dangerous their world becomes—crime, family politics, old enemies, and the shadows of both their pasts closing in.
When I tell y'all this book was off the chain, it needs to be turned into a TV show. The twisted, in turn, plots twist, secrets, lies, bullying, killing, betrayal, and SA, it had everything. Prime was not playing around with Zahara and Yusef. I like how he was about them. I like the relationship between Yusef and Prime; they had a lot in common that made them bond even more strongly. Prime and Zahara's relationship was everything; they had good chemistry. What Yusef endured was awful at just 12 years old. That boy went through too much. He had seen too much. Loss too much. I just wanted to hug him. Zahara/Zainab aggravated me in this book, like dead azz, because it's like she keeps waiting for things to get bad before telling Prime about it. I feel like some stuff could have been avoided only if she had spoken up sooner, smh. Grandma Rita is something else. She is funny, and she doesn't mess around. She might be going blind, but that lady is still sharp. In her grandsons don't play about her.
I love how she loves her grandkids. She's the glue who keeps the family together. Farah was crazy about. Prime, but Prime didn't cross her path because she was Rashid's daughter. Farah was doing too much; she wanted someone who didn't want her. She was
Jealous of Zainab. She tried to ruin Zainab's business, smh, it was wild. What Thad did to Farah made me feel sorry for her, though. Vivica, this b*tch Prime mom is a (donor); how she treated Prime awful, all because he looks like this father. Then she sent her son to prison.
Pushed for him to be tried as an adult. Basically, she used him for her political career. She got what she deserved. She deserves worse. Mehar is Zahara's little sister. Their father married her off to this abuser. That man did some awful stuff to her. But she got her revenge on the boy.
Getting her revenge unlocked something in her. Something scared, powerful, confident, Mehar doesn’t fuck off; she's good with that gun. Mehar held her sister's business down, though Mehar was a good sister and auntie. When Mehar and Thad started messing around, that situation was going to get sticky. Thad smh not a good person evil what he got coming to him he ain’t going to see it coming. Quest is funny, Prime's oldest brother. He doesn't mess off either. I can't wait to read his and Mehar's story cause baby, I think he's going to find some stuff out. I'm not going to spoil it. But the way Camille tried to set Quest up was crazy work; she was wrong for that. Camille is a good person, but she is wrong for that. Rashid thought he had control over Prime. Prime had to show him. Rashad deserved everything that happened to him. What Vivic told Rashid about his son on his deathbed was wrong; that messed up this series. It's messy, boy. Quest up next.
