Bookmas Day 4!! a book I’d like to be a character

2024/12/4 Edited to

... Read more"The Cruel Prince" is more than just a book; it's an entire world that pulls you in and refuses to let go. When I think about a story I'd absolutely love to jump into and become a character, Elfhame, as crafted by its brilliant author, immediately springs to mind. There's something so utterly captivating about the blend of dangerous beauty, intricate politics, and passionate relationships that makes you want to experience it firsthand. Imagine waking up in Elfhame, surrounded by ancient, whispering trees and glittering fae courts. The graphic mentioned a "fantasy map," and that's exactly what I picture – every twist and turn, every shadowed grove and sun-dappled glade, holding secrets and adventure. Part of me, the whimsical part, would love to be a little fairy, just as the description suggests, perhaps one of the sweet, innocent ones at first, simply running through flower fields, discovering the hidden wonders of the land. But let's be real, in Elfhame, innocence doesn't last long, and the true thrill lies in the intrigue and the challenge. As a character, I wouldn't just observe; I'd want to be part of the action. The central characters of The Cruel Prince – Jude Duarte and Cardan Greenbriar – are what truly make this world irresistible. Jude, with her fierce determination and ambition, navigating a world designed to break her, is incredibly inspiring. I'd love to be a trusted confidante or perhaps even a rival, someone who understands the stakes and isn't afraid to play the game. Seeing the world through her eyes, experiencing the constant push and pull of power and loyalty, would be exhilarating. The sheer audacity of a mortal girl rising to power in the treacherous fae courts is a story I'd love to be a part of. Then there's Cardan. Oh, Cardan! His journey from a cruel, spoiled prince to a complex, burdened king is one of the most compelling character arcs I've ever read. The dynamic between Jude and Cardan is pure fire, filled with tension, witty banter, and an undeniable chemistry that keeps you on the edge of your seat. As a character in Elfhame, I'd probably find myself caught up in their orbit, witnessing their intricate dance of power and attraction. Perhaps I'd be a clever courtier, trying to decipher their true intentions, or maybe even a neutral party, offering advice (if they'd ever listen!). Their story is so rich that simply existing in their world would be an adventure in itself, filled with unexpected turns and high stakes. Beyond the main duo, the entire cast of Cruel Prince characters adds so much depth. From the cunning Locke to the loyal but conflicted Taryn, or the formidable Madoc and the enigmatic Ghost, each personality plays a crucial role in the intricate tapestry of Elfhame. Being able to interact with these figures, to navigate the treacherous fae courts, attend elaborate balls, and uncover ancient secrets – that's the dream. It’s not just about the ethereal beauty; it’s about the pervasive danger, the endless political maneuvering, and the constant threat of betrayal that makes Elfhame so thrilling and immersive. You'd have to learn quickly to survive, to tell a glamorous illusion from a deadly trap. Many fans, myself included, often wish for more stories from this world. The persistent desire for "The Cruel Prince series book 4" or just any continuation of their adventures speaks volumes about how deeply these characters and this realm resonate with readers. Whether it's the intense emotional stakes, the complex relationships, or the sheer escapism into a truly unique fantasy world, the creator has crafted a masterpiece that makes you wish you could step right into its pages. So, yes, if I could choose any book to be a character in, it would undoubtedly be *The Cruel Prince*. I'd embrace the magic, the danger, and the unforgettable characters, ready to forge my own destiny in the heart of Elfhame. What an absolutely incredible, unforgettable experience that would be!

BookTok Hates my Annotating
Okay maybe BookTok doesn’t care. Really I don’t care either. But annotating is one of my favorite things to do as I read! I don’t like to highlight or mark up my books. I was taught from a young age not to write in books, and it’s stuck with me. Which is why annotating tabs and clear sticky not

I know you need this, I know I need this just as bad. We are so focused on wanting to fit in that we lose ourselves. We’re so comfortable in doing what others want that we forget our needs. We give in so easily just to not be seen as the bad guy or to still be with those people that we end up frust
