My life right now
Hey Lemon8! Wow, a lot has changed since I made my first post. Hmm where to start..?
I’m going back to school in the fall. I’ve taken a couple college courses, and have a wedding planning diploma, but I’m finally going back to get a degree. I’ll be doing 2 years at a community college and then transferring to a 4 year college. I’m going for a bachelor’s degree in biology, or some sort of animal science. My plan is to become a marine mammal trainer, mostly with dolphins. They’re my favorite!
Because of what I plan to do I will need volunteer work, to get scuba certified, among other things. I am taking an online dog obedience/training class right now to help give me an idea of what I’ll be doing later. I will soon be volunteering at an animal shelter and the aquarium. I took a swim clinic a few weekends ago and will also be taking more swim lessons, along with eventually trying to get in the pool as often as I can. I will get scuba certified eventually.
I am taking my courses online so I can continue working full time. I have also been learning German, taking ice dancing lessons, horseback riding lessons, and pole dancing classes. I plan to get on the ice as much as I can to continue my skating as long as I can.
Oh, and I turned 40 last month! Wow! I’ve been busy, but loving it!
At 40, embarking on a new educational path can be both thrilling and intimidating. As I prepare to dive into biology and animal science, I reflect on the importance of pursuing your dreams at any age. Volunteering at shelters and aquariums, along with scuba certification, is essential for my goal of becoming a marine mammal trainer. In addition to my studies, I'm balancing various hobbies like ice dancing and horseback riding, which keep my spirits high. These experiences not only enhance my resume but also enrich my life. It’s never too late to learn, grow, and chase your passions.
