Roller set Locs

So On Saturday I wash and condition my hair because this flip flop weather in Georgia is crazy drying me out from inside out and I need some relief. I use 96 pink rods to curl each individual loc . I have 96 locs. I use designer essential mouse to set the hair. Sat under a soft bonnet dryer for few hours. I apply oil shine on them and remove the rollers because I can’t sleep in that many rollers. I just wrap in small bonnet. And yes always have different size bonnets. By morning I wrap with a plastic bad to shower and applied oil to hands to separate my curls. Creating my side part did not work the first 2 days. I just ran with it. Since I interlock my ends are really holding the curl. I mist my roots directly and walk through mist my ends. That is spraying it so far away I just walk into the mist quickly lol. Scrunch method the water into my hair. It’s now Saturday again my roots are fuzzy but I still have all these curls. No need to redo. And my part is acting like it likes me now😂😂. I selectively smooth my edges know they will not stay. Georgia

From my personal experience, roller sets on locs have been a game-changer, especially when dealing with fluctuating weather like the humid climate in Georgia. Using pink rods to curl each loc allows for defined, bouncy curls, and applying a quality mousse like Designer Essentials helps hold the curl without making hair stiff. One tip that really helps is sitting under a soft bonnet dryer for a few hours after setting your locs. This step sets the curls firmly and speeds up the drying process, preventing frizz. Since sleeping with large amounts of rods can be uncomfortable, removing rollers and switching to a small, well-fitted bonnet helps protect your curls overnight. I’ve found that wrapping your hair with a plastic cap before showering is essential to keep your style intact. Also, applying a light oil to your hands to gently separate curls afterward enhances definition without weighing your locs down. Creating a precise side part may take some trial and error as the locs settle, but patience pays off. When the curls start to loosen or roots get fuzzy, misting your roots directly and lightly spraying your ends while scrunching your hair brings life back to your curls. Walking into the mist rather than spraying too heavily prevents over-wetting. Lastly, smoothing your edges selectively with edge control can polish the look, although it might not hold all day. Overall, curly loc styles like this roller set method ensure long-lasting looks with minimal daily effort. With the right products and routine, you can maintain soft, bouncy curls all week long and enjoy a protective style that looks fresh every day.
