How long did you breastfeed your baby?🌸
With my first one I stopped when my son was around 15 months, because at 12 months I found out I was pregnant with my second and he also started biting me …😔 so this was the perfect time for me and my baby and then I started bottle feed him only when he was going to sleep.
During my second pregnancy I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and it’s recommended to continue breastfeed as long as possible because it can help you not to get real diabetes in future.
Also I know some women do tandem breastfeeding ( breastfeeding two babies at the same time) which is really cool I think.
What’s your thoughts about tandem feeding?
And how long did you breastfeed your baby?

Breastfeeding duration varies greatly among mothers, influenced by personal health and circumstances. Many mothers initially breastfeed exclusively for the first six months, as recommended by pediatricians. However, some choose to continue past this period for various reasons, such as bonding, nutritional benefits, or health concerns, like gestational diabetes. Breastfeeding has been linked to reduced risks of diabetes in mothers, and it can also foster a strong emotional bond between mother and child. Moreover, tandem breastfeeding, which involves nursing two children simultaneously, is gaining attention for its unique challenges and benefits. It can help maintain breastfeeding frequency, ensuring both children receive the nourishment they need. Ultimately, the decision on how long to breastfeed is personal and should reflect what feels best for both the mother and child, creating a nurturing environment for development and health.
