You don’t come cleaned up. You come as you are
In my personal journey, I've often struggled with feeling unworthy or thinking I needed to fix myself before seeking spiritual peace or connection. What truly transformed my perspective was understanding that grace is never about our perfection but about accepting love as it is offered, unconditionally. The verse Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us," has been a cornerstone in learning to approach faith without shame or pretense. The hashtags like #GraceOverShame and #NotByWorks perfectly capture this concept — it’s not about what we’ve done or how 'clean' we are, but about receiving a love that surpasses all human measures. Sharing experiences in support groups and reading stories of others who came to faith bearing their flaws and doubts showed me that community is built upon acceptance, not judgment. This reminds me daily that coming “as you are” is fundamentally how we are welcomed, not just by Jesus but by a loving community. For anyone feeling weighed down by doubts or mistakes, I encourage embracing the freedom that comes with #StillLoved and #ComeToJesus. Your past or struggles don’t dictate your value. Instead, grace is the key that unlocks a life of peace and purpose, without the impossible demand to be perfect before you step forward.
