Even when my faith feels small...
Faith is often viewed as something monumental, but one of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned is that even a small seed of faith can have immense impact. The scripture from Matthew 17:20 reminds us that faith as tiny as a mustard seed is enough to move mountains. This metaphor resonates deeply because it reassures us that what matters most is not the size of our faith, but the sincerity and trust we place in God. In my own experience, there have been moments when my faith felt fragile and insufficient. Life’s challenges sometimes make it hard to believe that change or miracles are possible. However, embracing the idea of ‘small faith’ allowed me to start where I was—not where I wished to be—and trust that God could use even the smallest act of faith to create transformation. Trusting God with small faith means surrendering control and recognizing that God’s power is not dependent on the magnitude of our belief but on His boundless grace. This perspective shifted how I approached difficult situations: instead of waiting for my faith to grow, I accepted where I was and acted with whatever trust I had. I found peace in prayer and daily reflections, encouraging myself by remembering that ‘nothing will be impossible’ when faith is present. Additionally, living with small faith doesn’t mean passivity. It is a continuous journey of walking with God, sharing honestly about doubts and fears while choosing to move forward anyway. This unfiltered faith—raw and real—has been essential in my spiritual growth. Others may relate, and it comforts me to know that struggling with faith is normal, yet it doesn’t diminish its power. Ultimately, this experience taught me that faith isn’t about perfection or strength but commitment and perseverance. So if your faith feels small today, remember it can still be mighty. Hold onto that faith, trust God with it, and watch how He moves mountains in your life.
