When I started to intentionally pause and reflect on verses like Psalm 37:7, which encourages us to "be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him," I found a renewed sense of peace despite external pressures. One practical way I practice slowing down is by setting aside daily moments for quiet prayer and meditation. These moments help me center my thoughts away from worries about others' successes or inevitable challenges. Rather than fretting over things beyond my control, I learn to appreciate that God’s timing is perfect, even when it feels delayed. Incorporating faith into this practice also means trusting the journey, including the parts that feel uncertain or troubling. Rather than rushing decisions or actions, walking with God in patience enables me to respond to situations with grace and clarity. This season of learning patience doesn’t mean passivity; it involves active waiting—trusting, praying, and listening. If you’re also navigating a season that demands patience, I encourage you to meditate on Psalm 37:7 and consider making quiet reflection a daily habit. Over time, this practice can help transform your approach to life's challenges and successes, fostering resilience and an unshakable faith grounded in trust.
