God is not asking you to be perfect...
Starting over can feel daunting, especially when we fear that our past mistakes define us. But reflecting on Isaiah 43:18-19, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way," reminds us that God’s grace paves the way for renewal. In my own journey, I’ve experienced moments where fear and self-doubt nearly held me back from embracing a fresh start. Yet, embracing the truth that God is not asking for perfection but for an open heart has been liberating. It’s about moving forward with faith, trusting that God’s plan is unfolding even through our imperfections. New beginnings don’t require us to be flawless. They require courage to let go of past failures and to accept God’s invitation to "Come to Jesus" with honesty and hope. This approach transforms faith from a weight of expectations into a journey of real-life growth. Sharing this realization has helped me connect with others who struggle with the burden of perfectionism in their spiritual walk. If you’re afraid to start again, remember: it’s okay to be imperfect. The spiritual path is marked by progress, not perfection. Letting go of the past and trusting that God is "making a way" can bring peace and renewal. Life’s most meaningful transformations often begin with a simple step of faith, no matter how uncertain the road ahead may seem.
