Clean away my depression✨

Come with me as I clean and do my laundry. I literally been putting laundry off for so long, and now I am forced to do it since I have no clothes. lol

Laundry is the worst thing for me. I absolutely despise it.

My bed had about 5 to 6 large loads.

I have organized the kids to being each child has a basket and then towels.

I also pulled their bedding off cause it needs a washing as well.

Then I gave my girls 1 job at a time to get the rest cleaned. example I asked one to put away all the stuff animals and then once she was done I had the other come in and gather the trash and hangers.

They got it done fast and without complaining!

Now, I want to reward myself with a couple of chapters of my book! 📚

... Read moreHey everyone! I totally get it. That feeling of looking at a 'depression room' – whether it's piled high with laundry, overflowing with clutter, or just feels like an insurmountable mess – can be incredibly draining. It’s more than just a messy space; it often mirrors how we feel inside. My recent cleaning session, especially tackling those mountains of clothes, reminded me how much a little effort can impact my mental state. If you're staring at your own overwhelming space, remember, you don't have to clean it all at once. The biggest hurdle is often just *starting*. I found that breaking it down into tiny, manageable tasks was a game-changer. For instance, instead of 'clean the entire room,' try 'pick up five pieces of trash' or 'sort one load of laundry.' Just getting those 'clothes are put away' helps so much! The OCR snippet 'sorted just gotta wash it all' perfectly captures that feeling of progress, even if the job isn't 100% done. It’s about celebrating those small wins. When I was tackling my own laundry crisis, I literally had about 5-6 big loads waiting! My strategy was to sort everything first. Knowing what needed washing made the task feel less daunting than looking at one giant mountain. Then, putting all the clean clothes away felt like an immediate, tangible victory. And then it was 'on to my kids room' – another big challenge! I found that involving them, even with small jobs like gathering hangers or tidying stuffed animals, made it quicker and surprisingly fun. It taught them responsibility and lifted some weight off my shoulders. Plus, having a clean space for them just feels better for everyone, creating a more peaceful home environment. Don't underestimate the power of these small victories. Each item you put away, every surface you clear, is a step towards a calmer mind. It’s not about achieving perfection, but about creating a functional, more peaceful environment that supports your well-being. Even a 'water break' during the process is a victory, a moment of self-care. It's easy to feel guilty for resting, but listening to your body is part of the process. To help keep that 'depression room' from creeping back, I've found a few things help me. Try to do a quick 10-minute tidy-up each evening – just enough to reset for the next day. Giving everything a 'home' dramatically reduces clutter build-up, making it easy to put things away later. And most importantly, be kind to yourself. Some days are harder than others, and that’s perfectly okay. The goal isn't a spotless, magazine-ready home, but a space that feels like a sanctuary, not another source of stress. You've got this, and remember, every little bit counts towards a happier, healthier you!
