Make Money Off Your Groceries 💰

Simple and fast way to make money while shopping for groceries these are my top three favorites.

As a sahm, I am always looking for ways to make extra Starbucks money. Especially with the prices of everything these days.

I use these three to make a little bit of side cash on items I am already having to have to get.

1. Ibotta- ibotta is a rebate app where you go in and select the items you are going to buy that are listed. I like looking at this to see what brands have rebates on them. Select the item, submit your receipt, and after 20 dollars, you can cash out. I have made since I have had the app over $550.

2. Fetch- fetch is an app where you can submit your reciepts of all kinds and earn points for them. You can get more points for certain items and then redeem these points for gift cards! This it the quickest way to get points because each receipt, you will get 25 points for no matter what. You can get more from certain items and redeem online receipts through your email. I have earned over 250,000 points and have redeemed so many gift cards.

3. Shopkick- you literally get "kicks" for just walking into a store. Just make sure to open the app at the doors of the store. you can earn more kicks by scanning products in the store (you don't have to buy the products for the kicks). If you do buy any of the products, submit your receipt for even more kicks. Redeem the kicks for gift cards or PayPal! I have earned over 6,000 kicks.

... Read moreIt's incredible how much we spend on groceries, right? For a long time, I just accepted it as an unavoidable expense. But then I discovered these amazing apps that literally pay you back for your everyday shopping! After seeing how much I could save and earn, I realized that just using a couple of minutes of my time per shopping trip could add up to significant extra funds for things like my daily coffee or even a fun family outing. It’s not just about tiny savings; it’s about making your budget work smarter. Let’s dive a bit deeper into how you can really maximize your earnings with the apps I mentioned – Ibotta, Fetch, and Shopkick. I've learned a few tricks that have helped me turn my grocery receipts into solid rewards. Supercharging Your Ibotta Earnings: While selecting offers before you shop is key, there’s more to Ibotta. I always check for 'Any Brand' offers, especially for staples like milk, bread, or eggs. These are often overlooked but add up quickly. Another tip: link your store loyalty cards! This makes submitting receipts incredibly easy for participating stores, as many offers will automatically apply. Don’t forget the bonuses – Ibotta frequently has extra cashback bonuses for redeeming a certain number of offers or for specific brands. I even team up with friends sometimes for the team bonuses, which can boost your earnings even more. Fetch Rewards: Beyond Just Scanning: Fetch is fantastic because it truly rewards you for any receipt. But to really rack up those points, pay attention to their special offers. They highlight specific brands or products that give you significantly more points. I also make sure to connect my email to Fetch so it can automatically scan for e-receipts from online grocery orders or other online purchases. This ensures I never miss out on points, even when I'm not physically going to a store. Just a quick photo of every receipt, even from a coffee shop, helps those points accumulate for those sweet gift cards. Shopkick: Making Shopping an Adventure: Shopkick is unique because you don't even have to buy anything to start earning 'kicks'! My favorite method is definitely the 'walk-ins' – just opening the app when you enter a participating store. But then, I take a few extra minutes to scan products. You’ll find specific items listed in the app that give you kicks just for scanning their barcode. It’s like a mini scavenger hunt! If I do end up buying an item with a purchase offer, I make sure to submit my receipt for even more kicks. Prioritize stores that offer multiple ways to earn kicks – walk-ins, scans, and purchases – for the biggest payoff. My Golden Rules for All Grocery Earning Apps: Check Before You Shop: Always, always glance at your apps before heading to the store. This way, you know which items have offers and can make smart choices. Don't Overspend: This isn't about buying things you don't need. It's about getting rewarded for what you already planned to purchase. Stay Consistent: A few minutes here and there really add up over time. Make it a habit to scan receipts or check offers. Organize Receipts: Keep a designated spot for your paper receipts right after shopping. This prevents them from getting lost before you can snap a picture. Set a Goal: Whether it's earning enough for a monthly coffee treat or saving for a bigger purchase, having a goal keeps you motivated. Beyond the cash and gift cards, using these apps has made me a much more mindful shopper. I pay more attention to prices, discover new products, and feel a sense of accomplishment knowing I'm getting a little something back. It’s incredibly satisfying to see those cashback numbers grow or to redeem points for a gift card I genuinely need. So, if you're looking for an easy, fun way to make your grocery budget stretch further, give these apps a try. You might be surprised how much you can earn!
