Totally 30, not flirty nor thriving

Alhamdulillah for being able to see age 30. Allahu Akbar.

September 29th I turned 30. An age I’ve been looking forward to for years. I’m genuinely so excited to be in my 30s. Now that I’m here I’ve come to realize… I have no idea what I’m doing. I know what I want to do but the problem is I’m still my own biggest hurdle. I can’t get out of my own way. And for the life of me I can’t figure out why. I’m currently trying to figure out how to build courage. Build the courage to be the artist I’ve always wanted to be. Build the courage to be the educator I’ve always wanted to be. Build the courage to be the home owner I’ve always wanted to be. So many things my brain is almost overloaded.

I say all that to say if you don’t have it all together, it’s alright. It’s not a race. Don’t let social media or society make you feel like you’re behind or not good enough or not trying hard enough. The way you are is exactly how Allah made you. Where you are is exactly where Allah planned you to be. We have to stop looking at what we don’t have and focus on the things we do have. Your cup is half full not half empty. Pray. Make your duas. Put in the work you’re capable of. Trust in the qadr of Allah. He is the greatest of all planners. He knows what we do not. Show gratitude. Alhamdulillah for everything no matter what.

We gonna be alright.
