You heard it here first ! I’m going back to college 🤭🤭 yay me! I take my English entrance exam today. I’ll prob schedule the math one later next week (on my other off day) since I need more study time for math. My heart has always loved medical! But my first time at college was prob the worst time of my life! Not because the classes were hard, but I had a severely abusive partner.. I was young and dumb and depressed. Now at my age, I sit back and ask myself sweetheart why didn’t you reach out for help sooner?! Anywhooo. This time around I’m nervous because I have a 18 month old baby boy & a semi helpful bf.. and I also work full time. The program I’m GOINGGGG to get in to, does require me to be full time which means unfortunately at some point I’ll have to quit my job 😥💔. And that’s the part I’m scared of! I can’t lean on my bf financially even tho he makes great money. Because he’s TERRIBLE with it. I make great money as well. But not to the point where I often have tons of $$ left over in savings. All the negatives aside, ofc schools need your old documents so I sent myself (and them) a copy of my transcripts. I cried reading them. I had a 3.4 gpa and I was astounded that I made such good grades considering what I was going through at the time. All in all, I am excited to be working towards getting back in the medical field!! I keep seeing ppl say they want to be a nurse, but not enough “compassion” behind their reasons. Which makes me sad!! I started off as a pediatric medical assistant, then a dialysis technician, and now I’m in health insurance currently. The new roll I’m going back to school for is for sonography. I absolutely adore kids and I wanted to be “hands on” to still be close to the cuties so I figured obgyn is best. I want to share those moments with precious Mommy’s and daddy’s to be. I even have my eye on specializing in pediatrics(working at a children’s hospital) oh man that would really be a dream.
