- anything with SALICYLIC ACID in it including face wash etc..
- Body soap of any kind
- Coconut Oil
I will update you on my before and after!!

Hey besties! Following up on my journey to tackle strawberry legs, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what causes them and more ways we can achieve that smooth, flawless skin we all dream of, especially with summer care just around the corner! First off, let’s talk about what strawberry legs actually are. It's a common skin condition, often called keratosis pilaris or folliculitis, where your pores get clogged with dead skin cells, oil, and sometimes even bacteria. This can happen after shaving, or just due to genetics. Those little dark spots resemble strawberry seeds, making our legs look less than perfect. But don't worry, it's totally treatable! You asked 'how to get rid of strawberry legs' and 'how to exfoliate strawberry legs,' so let's expand on that. My simple scrub with Himalayan Pink Salt is a great start for physical exfoliation, which helps slough off dead skin cells. When using a scrub, always be gentle! Circular motions, not harsh scrubbing, are key to avoid irritation. You can also try dry brushing before your shower – it's amazing for circulation and getting rid of flaky skin. Just make sure your brush is soft and you use light strokes, always moving towards your heart. Now, for chemical exfoliation, which is a game-changer! Salicylic Acid, which I mentioned, is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) that penetrates oil and helps unclog pores from the inside out. Look for body washes or lotions that contain Salicylic Acid or AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) like Glycolic or Lactic Acid. These help renew skin cells and reveal smoother skin underneath. Using a product with grapefruit or lemon balm extracts can also add a refreshing, toning boost! Remember to always patch test new products. After exfoliating, moisturizing is non-negotiable. Coconut Oil, as I use, is wonderfully hydrating, but you can also opt for lotions rich in ceramides or hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture. Keeping your skin hydrated helps improve its overall texture and barrier function, making it less prone to irritation and clogged pores. Another common query is 'how to get rid of strawberry legs and ingrown hairs.' These two often go hand-in-hand! To prevent ingrown hairs, always shave with a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction of hair growth, not against it, and use a good quality shaving cream or gel. Exfoliating regularly also helps keep hair follicles clear, allowing new hairs to grow out instead of getting trapped under the skin. Consider switching to an electric shaver or even waxing if shaving is a major irritant for you. After shaving, a cold compress can help calm the skin. For those looking for 'flawless legs' and the 'best product for strawberry legs,' consistency is your best friend. It’s not about finding one miracle product, but establishing a routine. A weekly exfoliation (either physical or chemical, or alternating), daily moisturizing, and mindful shaving practices will make a huge difference. Give your skin time to adapt – improvements might not happen overnight, but with dedication, you’ll see those pesky spots diminish. Remember, our goal is healthy, happy skin ready for any 'summer care' adventures! This journey of elevating myself means taking care of my skin from head to toe. I hope these extra tips help you on your path to smoother, clearer legs. You've got this, besties! xo
