Life After Diagnosis : Renovations Edition ✨
Life after my diagnosis has looked a lot different than I imagined… but in some ways, it’s also brought me back to myself 🤍
I’ve had to slow down, listen to my body more, and be really intentional about how I spend my time and energy. And instead of life stopping, it’s actually started to feel more real. I’m learning that taking care of myself isn’t just about appointments or routines—it’s about building a life that feels good to live in, every single day.
Lately, that’s looked like renovating my space, making things feel like home, and creating an environment that feels calm, safe, and mine 🏡✨ There’s something so healing about putting time into your surroundings and watching things come together piece by piece.
It’s also been about getting back into the little things—doing my makeup, playing music, dancing while I get ready, cooking, and just letting myself enjoy life again. Not everything has to be heavy all the time. Joy is part of healing too 🤍
And honestly… being a Taurus ♉️ has been carrying me through 😭✨
I’ve been leaning into comfort, beauty, routine, good food, and creating a space that feels grounded and peaceful. Soft life energy but make it intentional.
This chapter of my life isn’t perfect, and I’m still figuring things out day by day—but I’m learning to build a life that supports me, instead of one that drains me. Slower, softer, more aligned.
Life after diagnosis isn’t the end of anything… it’s just a different way of living. And I’m learning how to make it a beautiful one 🌿🤍✨ #dayinmylife #renovationproject #taurusgirl #ms #fyp
After living with a diagnosis, I've found that renovating my home isn't just about physical changes—it's deeply tied to my emotional and mental healing. Creating a space that feels calming and truly mine has helped me reclaim a sense of control and comfort in a life that can often feel uncertain. I started by focusing on small, manageable projects that accommodated my energy levels, which made the process less overwhelming and more rewarding. Incorporating the elements of comfort and beauty, like soft textures and personal touches, transformed my surroundings into a sanctuary. This intentional renovation aligned well with my healing journey, acting almost like a form of therapy. It taught me to slow down, listen closely to my needs, and appreciate the little victories each day brought. Beyond the physical space, reintroducing simple pleasures—like playing music while getting ready or cooking nourishing meals—helped me reconnect with joy, which is a vital part of healing. Recognizing that life after diagnosis doesn't have to be defined by limitations but rather by careful intention has reshaped my mindset. Embracing routine and comfort, while allowing for flexibility and self-compassion, has made living with MS feel softer and more aligned with who I am. This journey has also highlighted the importance of building a life that supports me emotionally and physically, rather than one that exhausts me. For anyone navigating life after a diagnosis, focusing on creating a supportive home environment and prioritizing self-care can foster resilience and a renewed sense of purpose.
