A Day Out with Thomas the Train ✨
Thomas the Train recently came to where we live. My toddler loves Thomas the Train so I knew we had to get tickets to A Day Out with Thomas. They kids got a conductor hat, sunglasses and stuffed animal Thomas. You can always choose to ride Thomas, Percy or both.
When you arrived they have a small ride on Thomas which my toddler loved. Bounces houses and you get to see Thomas and Percy you ride on. After your ride you get a certificate. We couldn’t leave the gift shop without a t shirt and a Thomas ballon of course!

If A Day Out with Thomas comes to your town I recommend getting an early ticket so you can beat the crowds. our ride was at 10 and we got there at 9. The earlier the better!

Okay, fellow parents, let me tell you more about our amazing 'Day Out with Thomas' adventure! After our first fantastic experience, I've got some extra insights to share to make your visit even smoother and more fun, whether you're looking for 'Day Out with Thomas US' events or a specific 'Day Out with Thomas Grapevine' date. First off, securing those tickets early, as I mentioned, is KEY. Seriously, these events sell out fast, especially if you want specific times to 'ride Thomas, Percy or both'. Check the official 'Thomas & Friends' website regularly for upcoming event schedules in your area. They often announce dates months in advance, so you can plan your trip with plenty of time. I stalked their site for weeks to make sure we didn't miss out on the 'Day Out with Thomas' coming near us! Beyond the main train ride, which is super exciting for little ones, there's usually a whole festival of activities. My little one absolutely adored the smaller 'ride-on toy' Thomas trains. It was so cute seeing him navigate the track – definitely a highlight! Besides bounce houses, many events also feature storytelling sessions, magic shows, and even meet-and-greets with Sir Topham Hatt. Don't forget to look for the photo ops with the iconic 'Thomas & Friends' banner and characters; these make for great keepsakes. When we went, there was a station where kids could try on a conductor's hat and pretend to be part of the crew, which was adorable. One thing I learned is to plan your day. With so much to do, it's easy to get overwhelmed. We prioritized the main train ride, then let our toddler explore the 'ride-on Thomas' and the bounce houses. Saving the gift shop for last was a good call because once they see that 'Thomas balloon' or a new toy, it's hard to pull them away! Speaking of souvenirs, that 'Thomas Train Ride Certificate' they hand out after the ride is such a sweet memento. My little guy still talks about earning his certificate! Also, pack smart! Sunscreen, hats (even if they get a conductor hat!), snacks, and plenty of water are essential, especially if you're attending a 'Day Out with Thomas US' event in warmer climates. Strollers are a lifesaver for tired little legs, even for kids who usually shun them. The venues can be quite spread out. I truly believe these 'Day Out with Thomas and Friends' events are worth every penny for the sheer joy they bring. Seeing my toddler's face light up when he saw Thomas and Percy in real life was priceless. It’s not just a train ride; it’s an immersive experience that brings the magic of Sodor to life. So, if you're on the fence, jump! You won't regret making these unforgettable memories with your little engineers!
