8 weeks pregnant 🤢

... Read moreDuring the 8th week of pregnancy, many women experience heightened sensitivities to smells, which can lead to nausea and food aversions. This is often due to the surge of hormones, like hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), that play a significant role in pregnancy. It is common for expectant mothers to have strong reactions to odors they previously enjoyed. This phase can sometimes make it difficult to eat nutritious foods, which is vital for both the mother and the baby’s development. To help manage these sensitivities, try eating small, frequent meals and opting for bland foods that are easier on the stomach. Foods like crackers, rice, or bananas can mitigate nausea. Staying hydrated is also crucial, and sipping cold drinks can mask unpleasant smells. Additionally, consider introducing fresh air into your living space or using a fan to help disperse strong odors. Connecting with other pregnant women can provide support and help share coping mechanisms. Online forums or local pregnancy classes can be excellent resources for tips and encouragement. Remember, these symptoms are temporary, and many find relief as they move into their second trimester.

Mine were sounds. I couldn't stand certain people's voices 😒 Like family and friends couldn't come over, call are anything where I had to hear their voice lol! it was crazy. All they could do was text me! hearing people talk made me nauseous it was scratching a chalk board. Lol 😂 that was the most peaceful pregnancy 😂
