I’m different because I give Jesus my all. I surrender my heart, my desires, my needs, and life to Him DAILY.
When I first came to Christ, I thought all of my problems, trauma, pain, and everything in between was just going to disappear and I’ll be happy. I was wrong. I faced them, I worked through them, and it was hard… it still is. I had to learn how to properly handle my emotions, properly communicate, how to express myself, how to forgive even when I don’t receive an apology. I learned how to listen and not react, I learned how to give grace and allow others to just be them and let God do the rest.
I’m different because God called me to something higher, something greater. God pulled me out of the darkness and literally gave me life. That “Jesus Glow” is so real. I was known for having the worst attitude, argumentative, didn’t have a lick of respect for others, I was wilding out in the streets and “doing it for the plot”. I was allowing myself to be the “fun girl” and didn’t care because I didn’t value myself, I would get high and not remember what happened prior, and soo much more. But GOD. Jesus literally snatched me up and saved my life.
I’m farrrr from perfect but I’m not who I used to be. I’m not where I used to be. I literally choose peace and God over everything. This world will turn you every way but loose and leave you empty.
