Hey beauties! We all know makeup is such a fun way to express ourselves and enhance our natural beauty. I've picked up so many little tricks over the years that truly make a big difference, especially when you're looking to elevate your everyday look or master some face makeup basics. Let's talk about building a flawless base, which is where it all starts for me! If you're a beginner, getting a good basic makeup kit is key. I always begin with a hydrating primer – it just makes everything glide on so smoothly and helps my makeup last longer. Instead of caking on foundation everywhere, I prefer to spot conceal any redness or blemishes. This way, my skin still looks like skin! Then, a light dusting of loose powder to set everything, especially around my T-zone, is a game-changer for preventing shine throughout the day. I've found that using a fluffy brush for setting powder T-zone application gives the most natural finish. Next up, for those gorgeous lifted cheeks that make you look instantly more awake! My go-to is a beautiful peach blush. I apply it high on my cheekbones, sweeping it upwards towards my temples. This technique really gives that sculpted, youthful lift. You can even layer a slightly brighter peach blush on the apples of your cheeks for an extra pop. It’s amazing how much this simple step can enhance your features! For brighter, bigger eyes, I have a few non-negotiables. A tiny dab of concealer in the inner corners of my eyes works wonders to counteract any darkness. Then, a touch of a light, shimmery eyeshadow on the center of my lids just catches the light beautifully. And seriously, don't underestimate the power of curling your lashes and a good mascara! To complete the eye area, I love a subtle brow bone highlight. For natural brows, I just brush them up with a clear gel to keep them in place and lightly fill in any sparse areas with a pencil that matches my natural hair color. This makes such a difference in framing the face without looking too 'done'. And finally, for fuller lips! This is one of my favorite tricks. I subtly overline my cupid's bow and the center of my bottom lip with a liner that's just a shade darker than my lipstick. Then, I fill in with a slightly lighter lipstick. To take it to the next level, a small dab of gloss right in the center of my lips makes them look even plumper.
