I want to state this AGAIN, before you even start watching this video I am NOT a scholar, no where remotely NEAR 😅. But my very little knowledge about praying our five daily prayers and the importance and significance of it has led me to make this video to hold MYSELF accountable and hopefully collectively encourage even ONE other person. I struggle so so badly with this but want with everything in my heart for my kids to be better than myself. I am acknowledging that this will take dedication on my part but am praying that this motivates me to be better for myself and for the family I am trying to raise.
Your kids are NOT too young to pray. They are NOT too young to fast. The minds of children are like sponges. They absorb so much. Let THIS be the thing they absorb. To pray. To worship. To put God above all else. They will teach us so much more than we can teach them.
Ramadan Kareem, Ramadan Mubarak to all you beautiful people out there. May we be the best best BEST versions of ourselves🥹❤️🙏
From my own experience, practicing the five daily prayers isn't just a religious duty but a transformative commitment that shapes our daily rhythm and mindset. Like many, I've found maintaining consistency in prayer challenging, especially in a busy Western lifestyle where distractions are constant. What I've learned over time is the power of intentionality—deciding to pause and dedicate those moments to prayer helps center my day and brings peace amid chaos. Additionally, involving children in this spiritual practice from an early age has been a blessing beyond expectations. Children truly learn by observing and participating. When they see us dropping everything to answer the call to prayer, it lays a foundation for their own relationship with faith. Teaching them the meaning behind each prayer and the significance of fasting during Ramadan helps them develop a deep-rooted respect and understanding rather than viewing it as a routine. One key insight I want to share is how prayer, beyond the ritual, is a meaningful conversation with God—a time to express worries, gratitude, and hopes. Making this a personal, heartfelt connection rather than a mechanical task enhances its impact on our lives. It programs discipline but also nurtures a spiritual bond that guides us to be better individuals and parents. The struggle to stay consistent doesn't mean failure but an ongoing journey of growth and self-compassion. The encouragement to hold ourselves accountable, as I try to do, is essential for lasting change. Ramadan, in particular, is a beautiful reminder of renewal and dedication to becoming the best versions of ourselves. Letting children embrace fasting and prayer early helps them absorb these values naturally. Ultimately, prayer is not about perfection but sincere effort and progress. Embracing this mindset has deepened my faith and strengthened family bonds. For anyone struggling, remember you’re not alone—our journey together through prayer, patience, and perseverance can inspire those around us and uplift our communities.
