I stopped shrinking myself to make other people comfortable.”

It was exhausting and left me feeling invisible and disconnected from who I truly am. But then, I realized that waiting to feel confident before acting was a myth. Confidence is a result of action, not a prerequisite. When I began to take small steps—speaking up in meetings, dressing in ways that felt authentic to me, and embracing my body without judgment—I felt a shift. The journey wasn't always smooth; there were moments of doubt and slipping back into old habits. However, consistent action reinforced my self-worth and helped me build genuine confidence. I want to encourage anyone who feels similarly to stop waiting and start acting in alignment with their true self. Confidence doesn't have to be perfect or pre-existing; it grows through embracing imperfections and showing up authentically. By doing so, you not only make room for your own happiness but also inspire others to do the same.
