Greetings Lent 🫶🏼

This post is late cause time managing is terrible, but i’m trying to find my catholic girlies 👀🤧 Lent is amongst us though, today is Day 5 and we are always going strong!

Lent is 40 days, allowing us to remember what Jesus has done for us and that sacrificing something is good. It helps us cleanse and renew ourself, most time it also becomes a habit and shows us we can manage without the things we desire the most!

I’ve given up things that have a big impact on me every day and doesn’t benefit me in positive ways majority of the time!

... Read moreLent is a profound journey in the Christian calendar, observed for 40 days from Ash Wednesday to Easter. This period commemorates Jesus Christ's sacrifices and teachings. It encourages believers to engage in practices such as fasting, prayer, and self-reflection, fostering a deeper spiritual connection. The significance of Lent extends beyond mere sacrifice; it serves as a time for introspection and personal growth. Many individuals contemplate what they can give up to enhance their spiritual lives, whether it's social media, junk food, or gossiping. This process not only helps in developing self-discipline but also encourages meaningful habits that can last well beyond the Lenten season. For anyone wondering what to give up for Lent, here are a few ideas: eliminate negative self-talk, reduce time spent on entertainment, or limit unhealthy eating habits. Each small sacrifice can lead to significant personal insights and communal strengthening as families and friends share their journeys. As we approach Lent 2025, it’s beneficial to set specific goals like fasting on specific days, dedicating time for daily prayers, or focusing on positive affirmations. These practices help manage our desires and open our hearts to greater peace and gratitude in our daily lives. The journey doesn't end with sacrifice; it leads to renewal, joy, and a closer relationship with God.
