Season Work This Summer
This summer I had an ✨interesting✨ experience while working at a fishing lodge in Alaska. I’m kinda impulsive (in the fun way) so it was a last minute decision! I was there from the end of May to the end of September. I personally am not built for that kinda thing, HOWEVER, I think it’s an incredible opportunity for those who don’t mind having little to no free time in exchange for an incredibly beautiful place! We were lucky enough that our room was just a deposit that was returned, and our food came out of our check. Although for my mental health it wasn’t the best, I had some really fun moments and made lots of good memories 🤠🤍
Working at a fishing lodge during the summer can be an enriching experience for many adventurous souls. Not only does it offer a chance to immerse oneself in nature, but it also provides opportunities to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. While the lifestyle may be demanding, the rewards are plentiful. Imagine waking up to stunning lake views and the rhythm of water lapping against the shore. Additionally, this type of seasonal work can help enhance skills such as teamwork, resilience, and adaptability—all crucial for personal growth. For those considering a similar path, it's important to prepare for the challenges ahead. Long hours and a physically demanding environment may not suit everyone, so assessing one's comfort level with limited leisure time is essential. However, if you cherish the great outdoors and don't mind a diligent work schedule, opportunities abound in such settings. Moreover, some lodges offer seasonal contracts that can provide significant savings and help secure a budget-friendly summer. It's a unique way to travel without incurring high accommodation costs. So, if you're looking for adventure, don't hesitate to explore the possibility of working at a fishing lodge this summer!
