WRECK THIS JOURNAL for INNER CHILD HEALING💭🤍

this has ALREADY been SO healing!!!

i got my first wreck this journal when i was 12 and it was my most prized possession. i was obsessed. i had never seen ANY kind of journal/book like this before. i remember it was FULL of color and so much love. i’d write song lyrics all over the book. i’d spend hours on youtube looking for inspiration for my journal. moriah elizabeth on youtube was my artistic IDOL. i definitely took a lot of inspo from her. i never completely finished my old WTJ and honestly don’t think i have the original anymore, but that’s why we are doing this now!

12 years later, i’m starting a new wreck this journal. i am so excited to heal my inner child as i complete these cute little familiar pages. #wreckthisjournal #journaling #art #artist #innerchildhealing #innerchild #healing #mentalhealth #aesthetic #journal

... Read moreWhen I first got my hands on 'Wreck This Journal' at age 12, it was unlike any journal I had ever seen. The vibrant colors, the creative freedom, and the playful prompts made it my most treasured possession. Revisiting it now, years later, is not just about completing a book; it's about reconnecting with my younger self and allowing creativity to heal old wounds. The beauty of this journal lies in its structure: you're encouraged to 'destroy' the traditional idea of keeping a pristine journal. From cracking the spine to tearing pages or even using different materials like paint and tape, the instructions invite you to experiment freely, without fear or judgment. This process has truly been therapeutic, allowing emotions and memories to surface in a safe, artistic way. Inspired by artists like Moriah Elizabeth on YouTube, I found endless ideas and motivation to personalize my journal pages. Whether scribbling song lyrics or splashing vibrant colors, every act of ‘wrecking’ felt like a step toward nurturing my inner child. For those new to 'Wreck This Journal,' I highly recommend embracing the unpredictability of materials and instructions. Don’t worry about the order or the outcome—focus on the process and what it feels like to express yourself creatively. From cracking the spine to tearing or doodling, every mark is a vital part of your personal healing journey. This practice has also improved my mental health by providing an outlet for stress and emotions in a non-verbal way. The journal serves as a personal playground where mistakes are celebrated, and imperfection is beautiful. If you're curious, printable do-it-yourself wreck this journal pages are available online, and these can be a great start to explore this creative therapeutic method. Whether you’re a kid or grown-up, this journal offers a fun, artistic way to reconnect with yourself and inspire healing from within.
