Pics I love but never posted
A lot of them just didn’t fit the aesthetic ig u could say, for my Instagram. I have bad ocd and have to post 3 of the same kinda pics together and these are all separate pictures.
It's so real, isn't it? That feeling of having a bunch of amazing photos you genuinely adore, but they just don't quite fit the 'vibe' of your Instagram feed. I totally get it. We spend so much time crafting our online presence, trying to achieve that perfect aesthetic – whether it's a 'pinterest girl photo' look or a feed full of 'cute girl pic dp' shots. But sometimes, the most authentic, beautiful moments just don't align with our carefully curated squares. For me, it's often about those spontaneous, slightly quirky shots. Maybe it's a selfie where my usually dark, shaggy hair is caught just right, but the background isn't pristine. Or a cool pic with a unique 'vintage filter' that I love, but it totally clashes with my usual bright and airy theme. I've got so many 'girl pic simple' moments – just me, maybe with an 'eye pendant' necklace, looking natural – that I adore, but then I think, 'Does this really belong next to my last three posts?' It's a constant mental battle! This pressure to maintain a consistent aesthetic can be exhausting. I've found myself holding back on sharing some of my favorite memories because they don't meet an unspoken rule in my head. Like that hilarious photo of me with vibrant green hair, looking directly at the camera with an upside-down selfie perspective – it's so *me*, but it's definitely not 'pinterest aesthetic.' Or even that one where I'm wearing a black balaclava, holding a 'blue electric guitar' – a super cool shot, but it raises the question: 'How do I make that fit?' But lately, I've been trying to challenge that mindset. Why do our 'ladies ka photo' collections have to be so rigid? What if we embraced the 'unaesthetic' a little more? Some of my most cherished photos are the ones that are a bit unexpected. Like that close-up selfie of me with 'dark hair and lighter ends,' looking down with a soft, contemplative expression – it tells a story, even if it's not perfectly posed. Or a casual shot standing in a 'restaurant or bar,' opening a can on a wooden table. These are real-life moments! Perhaps the solution isn't to force every picture into a mold, but to find other ways to celebrate them. Maybe for those 'pictures that aren't what they seem' or quirky ones like holding a 'gray cat upside down,' we can use Instagram Stories more, or even dedicate a highlight reel to 'unposted gems.' This platform, Lemon8, is also fantastic for sharing a wider range of content without the same pressure. It allows us to truly 'crea la imagen' – create the image – that reflects our genuine selves, without overthinking if it's 'fake girl photo for instagram' worthy. It's about sharing what we love, simple as that. After all, the best photos are the ones that make us smile, regardless of whether they 'fit' or not.
