Eyeliner

One of my favorite beginner-friendly tips is to use a pencil eyeliner first before moving on to liquid or gel liners. Pencil liners are easier to control and create softer lines, which is ideal when you’re getting the hang of it. Another trick I learned is to start with small, connected dashes along your lash line instead of drawing one continuous line—this helps maintain steady hands and reduces mistakes. Once you’re comfortable, gently smudge the pencil for a natural look or get sharper by layering more product. For creating a winged eye, try using tape as a guide to achieve a clean, precise flick. This method prevents uneven wings and boosts confidence. Remember, different eye shapes may require slight adjustments in eyeliner style; for example, those with hooded eyes can apply a thinner line closer to the lashes to avoid smudging. Hydrating your eyelids before applying eyeliner can improve application smoothness and longevity. Setting your liner with a matching eyeshadow powder can prevent smudging throughout the day. Eyeliner doesn’t have to be a complicated step in your makeup routine. With patience and practice, it becomes quicker and more enjoyable. Don’t hesitate to experiment with different colors and styles to find what makes your eyes pop and your makeup shine.
