My P.M. Skincare Schedule
Winter skin needs structure… but I’m gonna be honest, I don’t follow this perfectly. I struggle to stay on track, I skip nights, and some weeks are just survival mode.
That said, since I replaced my old lineup with this one, I’ve actually seen a difference. My skin is calmer, less dry, and way more forgiving when I mess up.
Retinol on rotation, lots of hydration, recovery nights built in, and zero pressure to be flawless.

Maintaining a consistent PM skincare routine during the colder months can be challenging, especially when juggling a busy schedule. From personal experience, incorporating products like the Olay Retinol 24 and the Snail 92 serum has truly transformed my winter skincare game. Retinol, used on rotation a few nights a week, is excellent for promoting cell turnover and reducing signs of aging, but it can be drying if not balanced with enough hydration. What works best for me is layering hydrating serums such as Snail 92, known for its moisture-retaining and soothing properties, right after cleansing. Adding a Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) serum or an overnight mask on drier nights effectively restores my skin’s barrier. I also find that including peptide serums and eye care products boosts skin repair and improves elasticity. One technique I swear by is 'slugging' on the weekends, where after applying Snail 92, I seal in all that moisture with a thick occlusive like Vaseline or Aquaphor. This method locks hydration in and repairs the skin, especially after retinol nights. Another key to success is acceptance—there are nights when life gets hectic, and skipping a step or two is okay. Recovery nights without retinol but with ample hydration help keep my skin calm and resilient. Integrating weekly pampering like PDRN sheet masks or optional slugging and moisturizing masks further elevates skin radiance and repair. For anyone struggling with winter dryness or new to retinol, gradual introduction combined with rich hydration layers can make a significant difference without overwhelming your skin. This balanced, flexible routine prioritizes skin health over perfection, which ultimately leads to a calmer, more forgiving complexion throughout the winter season.
