🤍 My Story: Honestly my biggest fear has always been failing and dying without having fulfilled the purpose God has given me. As far as my purpose goes I still don’t know what it is and it is something I pray about often. I could already be walking in my purpose and not know it. I love helping people but I don’t if that’s my sole purpose. For the fear of failing that actually stems from being told at a young age I would be a statistic. Yeah (ouch) I was told this in 9th grade by an older white woman who was the dean at my high school Ms. Scogna. Boy was she wrong. It the lesson of being careful what we speak into peoples lives especially children. Instead of her encouraging me to do better she instead tore me down. Words are heavy and they have the power to either hurt or heal. Those words have stuck with me and I always feel I have something to prove and hate failing at anything. I am not a statistic, I am very intelligent and educated. I choose not to let the things people say get to me in ways that I would carry their words forever it is too much of a weight. People may forget what you’ve done for them but I guarantee they will never forget what you said.

Moreover, journaling and reflecting on personal experiences can provide insights into patterns in our fears, helping us break free from limiting beliefs. Finding strength in daily affirmations is another powerful tool to combat fear. For instance, embracing scriptures like Philippians 4:13 reinforces the belief that with faith, you can achieve anything. Engaging in mindfulness practices such as meditation can also cultivate a positive self-image, as it allows individuals to focus on their strengths rather than perceived weaknesses. Ultimately, it’s about taking actionable steps despite fear. Whether it’s setting small, achievable goals or seeking out opportunities to embrace discomfort, tackling fears head-on can lead to personal growth. Every experience, whether perceived as a success or failure, contributes to our journey and can reaffirm our worth. By shifting focus from fear to fulfillment, we not only empower ourselves but also give others permission to do the same, fostering a supportive community where vulnerability is embraced and celebrated.
