I'm shocked that they still had the popcorn buckets available and that they were kinda affordable! I'm definitely gonna use it as a chocolate box this Valentines Day and I cannot wait!
As for the movie... I didn't hate it lol. I LOVED the costuming! Phenomenal job on pulling sources with historical relics and accuracy with costuming details and I cannot thank them enough for paying attention to the small details! I really enjoyed how they drew lots of inspiration from the original 1929 movie with some of their costuming choices as well!
There was a noticeable lack of music (for me, at least) but as a music lover, that's kinda on me I suppose.
There were a couple scenes that felt... unnecessary? I think that they really wanted to go for the rated R trope and add it but I just felt like it wasn't needed and didn't add to the story. In fact, I felt that it kinda broke me away from the movie almost entirely. But it could also be bc I'm Ace so iunno lol.
Anyways, I had a good time watching it with my bestie! I'm so glad that she's a cinephile and always willing to go out to watch movies whenever I finally feel up to leaving my house 😅
