Spiderweb Hair Bow 🕷🕸🎀🕸🕷
This came out so cute! I didn't glue it on to the clip bc I plan on making it multipurpose and I really didn't want to look for my hot glue gun lol
The best part of this project is that it was super cheap! The ribbon roll was on 75% discount from Halloween and I had a coupon that knocked the price down to about $3 if I remember correctly. The other fabrics were old bed sheets I've had since at least 2016 💕
I might make more for when I build up the courage to go to a convention or market one day.

I've been absolutely obsessed with bringing spooky, alternative vibes into my style lately, and spider web hair designs are now my favorite way to do it! While I love making cute accessories like the spiderweb hair bow I shared, I've also discovered so many other cool techniques to rock this look. It’s all about getting creative and making a statement, whether for Valloween, a goth night, or just because you feel like it! Beyond the Bow: More Spiderweb Hair Design Ideas If you're looking to dive deeper into the world of spider web hair designs, there's so much more to explore than just clip-on bows. I've experimented with a few different approaches, and they're all super fun and surprisingly easy to achieve, often with things you already have at home. First, let's talk about expanding on the accessory idea. My original spiderweb hair bow was a blast to make, especially because it was so budget-friendly. You can easily adapt this concept by using different colors of ribbon—think classic black and white, or even unexpected pastels for a softer goth look. Adding a tiny plastic spider charm or some glitter glue to the web design can make your custom Spiderweb Hair Bow truly pop. Instead of just a clip, you could attach your DIY web to a plain headband, a bobby pin, or even weave smaller web elements into braids or an updo. Just like I mentioned in my post, you can keep them versatile or, if you find your perfect design, use a little hot glue to make it permanent for future spooky adventures! Now, for those of you who saw spider web hair design dye in the queries and felt a spark of curiosity, you’re in luck! While I'm not talking about permanent hair dye here, you can absolutely achieve temporary spider web hair designs using colored hair sprays or hair chalk. This is my go-to for themed parties or a quick costume transformation. Imagine spraying a black web pattern onto light-colored hair, or a silver web onto darker locks. You can either freehand the design with a fine-nozzle spray (practice on paper first!) or use a stencil for a cleaner look. Hair chalk also works wonders for softer, more temporary web effects, allowing you to easily wash it out at the end of the day. It’s a fantastic way to experiment with a spider web hair design without any long-term commitment. Finally, for a truly intricate spider web hair design that involves styling your actual hair, you can get creative with gel and hairspray. This works best with updos or slicked-back styles. Start by pulling your hair into your desired base style. Then, using a strong-hold hair gel or pomade, carefully draw out web-like lines from a central point (like the crown of your head or behind your ear) spreading outwards. Use a fine-tooth comb or a brush to guide the gel and create crisp lines. You can even use bobby pins to hold sections of hair in place as you form the 'strands' of the web, setting it all with a generous amount of hairspray. For an extra touch, you can use a white eyeliner pencil for highlights on the web strands, making them stand out even more. This method truly turns your hair into a canvas for a stunning, edgy look. Embracing spiderweb hair can be as simple as a cute handmade bow or as elaborate as a full temporary hair art installation. Don't be afraid to mix and match techniques or come up with your own unique twist. It's all about expressing your personal style and having fun with it!
