Hey everyone! I've seen so many insightful question examples pop up in our little corner, and it truly warms my heart to see such curiosity and a desire for guidance. As someone who’s gone through the rollercoaster of being under 18 and now navigating life as an adult, I wanted to share a few thoughts on some common themes I see, hoping to give you a little head start or just a fresh perspective. One of the biggest areas I get asked about is relationships – both romantic and platonic. My biggest piece of advice here is to truly understand and value yourself first. Your self-worth isn't dependent on who likes you or how many friends you have. That's a lesson I wish I'd learned sooner! In friendships, look for people who lift you up, support your dreams, and challenge you in a good way. It's okay to outgrow friendships, and it's definitely okay to prioritize your peace. For romantic relationships, don’t rush. Focus on building genuine connections, communicating openly, and respecting boundaries – both yours and theirs. Red flags? Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. I remember once ignoring a huge red flag because I desperately wanted a relationship to work, and it ended up being a really tough lesson. Learn from my mistakes! Then there's the big one: future plans. It feels like everyone expects you to know exactly what you want to do with your life right now, doesn't it? Well, here's a secret: most adults are still figuring it out too! My advice is to explore as much as you can. Try different electives at school, volunteer, pick up hobbies, read widely. Don't stress too much about having a perfect five-year plan. Instead, focus on what genuinely excites you, what problems you'd like to solve, or what kind of impact you want to make. Your path will evolve, and that's perfectly normal. I used to think I'd be one thing, and now I'm doing something completely different and loving it. The journey of discovery is the best part. Speaking of school, it's more than just grades. It's a place to learn how to learn, to develop critical thinking, and to build social skills. Don't be afraid to ask for help, whether it's from teachers, mentors, or even peers. And remember, your academic performance doesn't define your intelligence or your potential. There are so many kinds of intelligence, and the world needs all of them. Find what you're good at, lean into it, and keep nurturing those skills. Finally, remember to be kind to yourself. The teenage years can be intense, full of change and big emotions. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, to make mistakes, and to not have all the answers. That's why we have this safe space – to ask those tough questions and get honest insights from someone over 18 who's been there. We're here to share our experiences and cheer you on. Keep asking, keep learning, and know that you're not alone on this journey!

Is it weird to just want romance? Like everyone I know wants sex or first kisses but I just want to hold someone’s hand while on the fair rides and text them awful jokes and talk.
