The biggest question I always get is: Can you drive???

The answer — YES, I can.

& today, I’m taking my limb-different brother to get his driver’s permit 🚗💨

When I got mine 8 years ago, it definitely wasn’t a smooth process. It was awkward, nobody knew what they were doing and it made me feel irritated. I ended up with three restrictions on my license

I can only drive an automatic transmission

I have to use a wheel spinner

I must use mechanical aids

Technically, if I ever get pulled over without following those, I could get a ticket 😅 but that hasn’t happened and I drive cars without those restrictions all the time LOL

That’s why I wanted to see how my brother’s experience compared to mine… as his limb difference is more complex than mine.

And guess what? they gave him zero restrictions & his limb difference is more disabling than mine.

I guess that’s just life — or maybe it’s an oldest sibling thing.

We take all the hits so the next generation can FLY 😭❤️
