My first year was dedicated to mastering the basics of strength training through a tailored regimen known as the Arnold Split. This program split workouts into specific muscle groups, allowing me to focus intensely on each area while ensuring adequate recovery. The chest workouts involved exercises like the inclined bench press and cable flyes, pushing my limits with repetitions to failure. I included pull-ups and T-bar rows in my back routine, focusing on increasing my strength while using proper form to avoid injuries. Furthermore, I emphasized core strength, integrating exercises such as Russian twists and planks into my regimen. A vital aspect of my routine was listening to my body – understanding when to push harder and when to rest. The importance of nutrition and recovery can't be overlooked; fueling my body with the right nutrients played a crucial role in muscle recovery and growth. As I transitioned into my second year, minor adjustments were made based on progress and personal goals. This adaptability is key in any weightlifting journey, allowing for continued progress and preventing plateaus. Stay tuned for updates on my evolving regimen!
