had another unexpected window shopping session (is it really window shopping if I always end up getting something😵💫😭) while waiting for my friend in town.
I’m typically a size S for Singapore blogshop brands but can sometimes be XS depending on the cut of certain pieces eg. if they’re more flowy. I’m also trying on clothes for fun/to kill time so I don’t always take note of their names.
1. Mango denim set — I think it’s giving girl boss?! tried something I don’t usually go for but i have always thought denim sets are so cool. both xs for top and pants still had a lot of excess fabric though. 👖
2. Love, bonito tops — i really like both of them!!! so flowy, classy and comfortable. I think the pleats make the tops more unique. i only got the white one to limit my damage… 💰
3. Charles and Keith — eyeing this pair of covered toe flats. the texture makes it stand out from the regular glossy Mary Janes.
4. Uniqlo barrel pants — very comfortable material!! a bit big around my waist + not sure if i am cool enough to pull off the look. 😀
that’s all for today 😛 appreciate any validation about my purchase LOL
... Read moreIf you’ve ever gone on a casual shopping trip that unexpectedly turns into a full haul, you’ll totally relate to my experience. Sometimes, it’s about trying new styles just for fun – like the denim set from Mango that gave me major girl boss vibes even though I usually don’t go for denim matching sets. The XS size had excess fabric, which made me realize how important that perfect fit is, especially for pieces that aren’t usually part of your wardrobe.
One thing I learned while browsing brands like Love, Bonito is to pay attention to design details like pleats, which can elevate flowy tops from simple to standout. And limiting purchases to just one color helped me enjoy shopping without buyer’s remorse, though it’s tempting to grab them all!
Footwear is another adventure. Charles & Keith’s covered toe flats caught my eye because of their unique texture, different from the usual Mary Jane style. They’re practical but still stylish – perfect for everyday outings. And for comfy casualwear, Uniqlo's barrel pants offer a super soft material, though sizing can be tricky depending on your shape and how daring you feel to rock the look.
Also, a handy tip: when shopping Singapore blogshop brands, I usually stick to size S but go for XS if the cut is more relaxed or flowy. It’s small details like these that make your shopping experience enjoyable and your outfits flattering. Hopefully, my mini haul inspires your next window shopping escapade, whether you buy or just enjoy the ride!
