Giving birth during Covid was the craziest thing I’ve ever had to endure. I thought my birth was traumatic with my first born, boy was I wrong. I went to all of my appointment alone. Being a single mom by choice was already isolating. I had a c-section at 36 weeks. I had to be put to sleep because the spinal did not work. My mom was able to come into the operating room and meet my son. Shortly after I woke up, I was told my son needed surgery. They wanted to transfer him to a larger hospital with a bigger NICU but we managed to keep him with me. He spent some time in the NICU being tube fed. He had surgery at 6 and 8 weeks old.
